Join them for “Successful Aging in Affordable Housing: Lessons and Opportunities”
Teresa Beshwate (Director of Operations for Masterpiece Living) and Linda Coleman (Vice-President of Resident Services at ABHOW’s Beacon Communities) will be presenting “Successful Aging in Affordable Housing: Lessons and Opportunities” at the LeadingAge California 2016 Conference and Exposition on Tuesday, May 3 at 2:15 p.m. PST.
In this presentation, attendees will learn more about the MacArthur Foundation funded project on successful aging, and discover the outcomes, possibilities and challenges of creating a culture of successful aging in an Affordable Housing environment. The discussion will illustrate the exciting outcomes from the case/control study, led by the University of Michigan in partnership with ABHOW’s Beacon Communities and Masterpiece Living, and how the project resulted in the integration of successful aging tools and resources into two Affordable Housing communities in southern California.
Through this engaging presentation, attendees will learn how successful aging benefits individuals and the organization, and how it can impact the aging experience in our society. Attendees will leave with tangible ideas to begin to offer successful aging opportunities for those living and working in affordable housing communities.
The LeadingAge California 2016 Conference and Exposition is being held at the Renaissance Palm Springs Hotel and the Palm Springs Convention Center (Palm Springs, CA) Monday, May 2 – Wednesday, May 4.
