Tuesday Table Ladies
January 9, 2017 3:03 pmAt Longwood at Oakmont (a MPL partner), a group of eight ladies who have been regularly meeting every Tuesday for dinner (AKA the “Tuesday Table Ladies”) collaborated on the writing of a book – Where’s Laura – which was published in the winter of 2016. This story truly exemplifies what it means to live successfully and debunks society’s ageist perceptions. It was a project three years in the making, and while many writers in the group had been previously published in academic journals, this was their first novel – proving that it’s never too late to try something new. These authors also teach us the importance of social connectedness, finding purpose and supporting others. They are donating 100% of the proceeds raised from the sale of the book to the Presbyterian SeniorCare Foundation. READ MORE
