Acacia Creek Case Study

Acacia Creek partnered with Masterpiece in May of 2010. At that time, they faced several obstacles, the most crucial of which was occupancy.

The latter proved to be particularly important as prospects were hesitant to uproot from their homes, families, friends, and church groups without a compelling reason to do so. Other obstacles included the community being on an earthquake fault line.

“We had early setbacks in meeting our occupancy goals because of the real estate market and that we lacked a main attraction. Only 34 people moved in the first year. We had to hire more sales representatives, re-market to the general public and most importantly, we needed to differentiate ourselves to compete with the for-profit luxury communities.”
